How corrections work
If something on this site looks wrong, you can report it. ABN Signal has a review process for reported issues.
This page explains what you can report, what happens after you submit a report, and what falls outside the site's control.
What you can report
You can report these types of issues:
- Data-display errors. A record field shows incorrect information compared to the source data. Example: an ABN record shows "Active" on the site but "Cancelled" on the ABR.
- Interpretation concerns. Explanatory text on a page overstates, understates, or mischaracterises what the data shows. Example: a guide describes a field in a way that conflicts with the ABR's own definitions.
- Freshness issues. Content references outdated data or does not reflect the most recent weekly refresh. Example: a change feed entry is missing a change you can see on the ABR.
- Broken links or navigation problems. A link leads to the wrong page or produces an error.
What happens after you report
- The editorial team checks whether the reported issue falls within the site's product scope.
- For data-display issues, the team compares the affected record against the source dataset.
- If a correction is needed, the site updates the affected page or data display.
- If the issue falls outside the site's control - for example, a record-level matter in the source registry - the team will note why it cannot be changed directly.
Reports are reviewed in the order received. Turnaround times vary, and individual reporters may not receive a direct response.
Scope of corrections
ABN Signal reviews each report and updates content within its editorial control — data display, interpretation text, and site navigation. Source-level record data comes from the Australian Business Register. For corrections to official source records, contact the ABR directly.
Response expectations
The editorial team reviews reports in order received. Data-display errors and broken links are typically resolved within one weekly refresh cycle. Interpretation concerns may take longer as they involve editorial review.
You may not receive a direct reply, but every report is reviewed.
How to submit
Email the team at contact@abnsignal.com or use the contact page. Include the affected page URL and a clear description of the concern — screenshots or links to the ABR record are helpful.
